My name is Carmen Lucia and I have a BA in Portuguese/English Studies. I have just finished my BA in Pedagogy in June 2022 and have taken courses on Psychopedagogy (Cândido Mendes), and Inclusion and Mediation (PUC-RJ). I have 42 years of experience as a teacher: 20 years as a Portuguese teacher at TBSRJ, 5 years as a Learning Support Assistant Teacher at TBSRJ, one year as a Portuguese teacher at EARJ and currently working at Everest Escola Carolina Patrício as Head Teacher. I also tutored 4 students from EARJ. (Distance Learning). Kinder, 2nd grade and 4th grade. I bear the Michigan English Proficiency Test ECPE C1, awarded in June 2005.
My son Guilherme is 26 years old and is about to finish his degree in Graphic Design. We are very close as a family, and enjoy spending time together over the weekend watching Netflix or just enjoying each other’s company. I like spending my leisure time on activities such as going to the movies and the theater, reading, or walking along the beach. I am very passionate about what I do so I always try to keep myself up to date on the innovations within my field. I would like to apply for the Portuguese Teacher for Elementary School vacancy.
I have lived in Spain (Valencia and Albacete) for 5 months and it was an outstanding experience for me.
